My account got closed when everyone else’s did. I had another transaction account and a credit card with them which weren’t effected. I haven’t tried opening anything else with them since.
My haul ticked over the 7 figure mark.

Fortune certainly favours the brave (and those with more time than me... 7 figures must have taken a bit of work). I'd be interested to know how you go applying. Like any good bureaucracy I'm sure they will forgive and forget with the fullness of time, but only one way to find out.

Well done Dr Ralph!

Sadly, I got caught very quickly :(
I knew my time would come. I stated so very clearly a number of times.

I've also sent them a very blunt response telling them that I'm happy to take my business elsewhere, to issue a bank cheque for the balance and to close my account immediately.

You will get a cheque. I did! for $9.92 haha

You cough :)

Not the first time someone has used this word to describe me. I take it as a compliment :)

Some of my legal colleagues seek out and revere the nick name 'the shark'. I've been dubbed 'the cough' and am happy with that.

They may have closed my account but they still awarded me points right up til the last moment.

Prompted to return to this thread by a sarcastic comment to me on another topic thread ..... ( a ref. to this thread )

Surprised to read through just the last several pages, that the 'manipulation' of BW's offer had continued over the past 5 - 6 years since I got 'kicked out' for doing 1 cent transactions at Coles etc.

Actually, I congratulate those who were able to keep 'the ride' going for as long as they did ....

Aware these are old replies, but never too late to reply right? Thanks Rick93 for triggering an email due to my subscription to this thread.

Just got my 10k points as well. Looks like they don't enforce their T&C's for this promotion.
What do you mean by this? You have recently had the same account with them?

If the experience of others is anything to go by, they won't let you open any type account with them. Ever.
Some of us got half a mil some years ago.
I had a BW QF account and subsequently applied for a card with them some time later which was approved.

I might apply for another cc with them in the future if you were approved.

It's been maby 3 years since me account was axed.

As soon as the there's a decent offer I intend to apply.

I closed down all other Bankwest accounts and my online access so there's less chance of connecting me to this offer.

Yep, when this fiasco happened they closed my account. So I just opened another account in my wifes name & have been reaping the FF points on balance ever since. I think it was 5 points per $100 balance?
Rumour has it someone back in the days extracted 3 million points from Bankwest using micro payment. I could only extra 150k from them 😭

I've done well out of my Bankwest account. I pay my Telstra bill in $2 increments = 5 points per transaction.
Electricity and Health fund at $5 a payment = 5 points per transaction. Any purchase under $15 I use my Bankwest debit. Over $15 my Velocity debit card kicks in. Small steps...
