Baggage allowance on award flights to Honolulu with Jetstar

I am wanting to confirm that if I book a QFF award flight to Honolulu with Jetstar that I will get the baggage allowance that I get as a Gold Frequent Flyer under the program benefits.

According to the website I should be able to get 3 pieces @ 23kgs each (since we are flying to the States) but not sure if this is the case since it is a code share flight with Jetstar - even though it has a QF flight number.

On a similar note, if I book my kids flights on my points will they get the standard 2 pieces @23kgs each?

I had an incident in a similar circumstance with BA last year where they didn't extend my gold luggage allowance benefits.

As far as I am aware, the increased baggage allowance does not apply to Jetstar operated flights. So, I think it will be just the two bags!

The following depends if JQi is a member of IATA.

Under IATA rules for flights to/from the USA You would get the baggage allowance of the Marketing Carrier for the MSC.

In which case (if you are on the QF codeshare flight number) this would be QF's basic economy allowance for USA flights being 2 x 23kg. (The MSC does not appear to apply to Elite additional allowances.)
