Hello all

Sitting in Bangkok, just got a call from BA to tell me that BA9 will be 2 hours late leaving Bangkok. They have moved my connecting Domestic flight (Syd - Bne) to QF175.

Dumb question time
Seeing as QF175 leaves from International whats the transit situation?
Do i get into the Flounge?
Presume i now need to clear customs in Bne?

Traveling with hand luggage only.

Deplane, follow international transfers signs, get re-screened and then up to the Flounge (assuming you are WP). Pretty easy process should not take very long.

You will clear C&I in BNE.

Much better transit than doing the hop across to SYD DOM on the bus and waiting in the QP.

Just make sure anyone coming to BNE to pick you up knows you will be arriving at the international terminal.

And you won't be able to take any duty free booze through the screening point in SYD. connection. You will be able to purchase on arrival into BNE.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Brekky in the FLounge sounds much better than the QP food on offer. ;)

Unfortunately QF175 only runs on a Saturday and with BNE-LAX going daily in March, this is likely to come to an end.

There are a few other options depending on the days of travel. QF19 runs on Thursdays and there used to be a couple of other flights (operated by Air Nuigini and JAL) but I'm not sure if they still operate. :?:

Going BNE-SYD there is QF20 on a Tuesday and QF176 on a Tuesday as well.

I fly into SYD on QF127 early next month and from there continue on to MEL.

Fortunately for this next trip I arrive on a Friday, so can make use of QF74 on to MEL.

So, breakfast in the SYD Flounge rather than DOM QP, and much shorter C&I queues.

Pity there aren't more of these services. :(
