I am flying BA First SYD-LHR in 18 Dec, and, having not used the new first lounge, am wondering if, as a BA passenger, I have full use of the facilities ie Spa etc? What can I expect?
I am flying Mel-SYD, then have about 3 hours in the lounge.
Thanks heaps.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is the ability to pre-book only available to QF passengers?
I'll certainly enjoy the surrounds anyhow.

As I understand it QF F and CL only.

As a QF WP flying BA F I called up the day before and tried to book and got told no.

May I recommend that you:

Try to get the 747 service via BKK rather than the 777 service via SIN - it is much bettter.

Check there is a doona set on your ottoman when you board - if not be sure to be the first to ask for one (they ran out on my last BA F flight!).

Have a glass or two for me of the Chateau Beychevelle 1996 red (it's a cracker), if still on the menu!!!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice =heading up on the 777 to SIN then 744 to LHR. Coming back through BKK.... That routing was a lot cheaper than straight up and down through BKK.
Saw your earlier TR re doonas etc - very good advice, and I'll check out the French Reds.... :D

G'day rocket.
I'm flying BA SYD-LHR the same day but 'slumming it' in J, on the 747 via BKK.

I do hope you make the most of the F lounge. I'll be in the J lounge undergoing refurbishment. However, I'm hopeful that since most QF passengers will be directed to a temporary lounge, that the relative scarcity of BA/JQ/CX flights at that time might mean the J lounge isn't completely chockers.

Have a great flight in F! I know I'm going to enjoy mine in J!

R U sure about not being able to pre-book spa? AFAIK, with respect to the JSA BA (F) == QF (F) on the Kangaroo route.

(Otherwise QF F Pax LHR-SIN/BKK would not have access to the Concorde Room!)

Did not get a call,
and person was adament when I called that only pre-bookable to QF F

BA010 SYD-BKK end-June

How far in advance can you book the spa? I'm flying QF First from SYD-LHR Jan 5. I know with Virgin Atlantic you can book their spa treatments 2 months in advance, can you do the same with Qantas. I looked on their site and couldn't seem to find any phone numbers or details about how to book the spa.
