Hi

I'm looking at bookng an award flight to Bangkok, on a particular day i'm interested in there is a 9:05am departure arriving at 215pm in Singapore. On the same day all flights to Bangkok have availability with a number departing after my arrival in Singapore.

When i book to bangkok i can't get either of the flights departing after my arrival in Singapore to Bangkok for the same day, i get a departure the following day instead. The weird thing is if i book the 12pm departure from Sydney they do have a 6:45pm same day connection.

my question is if there is an available connecting flight with sufficient time for connection, can i call up and book over the phone and if so will there be a charge for this service?

for information i'll be booking 4 tickets, so if fees are involved is it per person or one off?

regards

I was speaking to them yesterday and they warned me that a charge would be incurred if they were to book on my behalf. I just explained that I was unable to do it on their website and the reasons why and they waived the charge. So I would call up and and explain your situation.

Definitely worth calling. I would just add, have you tried doing this as a Star Alliance booking flying SQ to SIN and then TG to BKK? Does this make any difference to the availability?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

thanks all, wife decided it would be easier on the kids with the overnight connection in the end. thanks for you help, might come in handy next time

I had a similar situation.
MEL-SIN-SGN
MEL 0105-SIN 0545 then SIN 0950-SGN 1100.

Searching Business MEL-SGN did not show the above flights at all, (searched most days over a 2 month period and it was nowhere to be seen but search separately showed available saver seats. My intention was to just book separately, however I was going to book a mixed class redemption for the return leg so I called up to make the booking for the whole trip.

The operator ended up combining the MEL-SIN and SIN-SGN into one "married" flight as that was what I ended up being charged for and not the 2 flights separately.

Best to call up and see what they can do.
