Hi All,

According to the AA website, an award fare for a flight on a Oneworld carrier between Europe and the Mid East in business/first is 42500 miles.

I tried to book a ticket from Istanbul to Kuwait (stopover in Doha) with Qatar Airways in business class. Now Qatar only offer F on intra Mid-East flights and thus the sector from Doha to Kuwait is in first class.

Therefore, it was Istanbul-Doha in business, and Doha to Kuwait in first. Yet, AA would only price this at 62500 miles. I tried to argue the point with 3 different people and all they would say is it is 62500 miles. And I keep telling them to look at their own chart that is published and still nothing.

Does anyone know how I can successfully get AA to price this ticket for the price it is actually published?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Business/First means First only on AA 2-class flights. If QR only operate a 2-class flight, then I don't think the Business redemption rate applies.

I've had this before on QR where I did CDG-DOH-DXB. They initially tried to quote me F the whole way through but after telling them that there was only 2 class service within the Middle East they charged me the J rate for the trip (42.5k). I had J CDG-DOH and then F DOH-DXB.

They ran it by a supervisor and (if I remember correct) had to talk to an IT team to override something but I was able to do it. Perhaps you might be best having the agent you get over the phone escalate the request.
