Award flights SYD-DFW return

I have been looking for award flights for Sydney-Dallas return for around April - May next year. Every day they release all class of seats from Sydney but nothing from Dallas except economy. I am wishing to book either premium econ or business either classic or YASA JASA. There appears to be award seat availability on the Sydney - Dallas leg but not reverse. Do you think it is too early or that this is possibly a route that will be hard to secure with points. I look every day at around 1000 but only ever see econ. seats available on the return leg. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you thought about doing an internal fly and look for availability out of LA?

I see DFW-BNE on Mar 25 in Business, and Feb 25. Funnily enough, it's not available DFW-BNE-SYD.

So try searching DFW-BNE.

Yes we can do that but our son lives in Arlington (in DFW area) so we would prefer to do the direct flight if possible. the only problem is the long haul flight home in economy that is why we are looking for premium cabin. We can probably manage Y class over but we are retired and getting on in years and it is a hell of a flight.

Hopefully enough to go Y+ over and business back. If we wait longer and see if more availablility appears then business both ways.
