Hi,

I just wondered if there is an easier way to check award booking availability (i.e. flights using Qantas Frequent flyer points) on non-Qantas Airlines?

The Qantas website appears to show QF, BA, AA. But is there an easier way to check avail on Alaska Airlines, Japan Airlines & Cathay?

I know I can ring the call centre, but when I'm going through lots of combinations to try to work out a complex trip it would be much easier to do on the web.

Cheers,

Gary.

Re: Award Bookings - to Sapporro?

Hi
I would like to fly to Sapporro (CTS) from SYD in Feb 09. I can fly with Qantas or JAL but given that Cathay fly direct, anyone know if i can do this using FF points? How many would it cost me.

Thanks alot

Hi djjk1, Welcome to AFF. :D

You best bet is to try to use points fly Cathay from SYD to HKG then to CTS.

This way it's the one 'trip' to get there. (Fly QF to HKG, then there's two trips which may increase the points cost.)

Use the Great Circle Mapper to work out the distance for SYD-HKG-CTS and look it up on the QFF Partner Classic Award table.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
