Just booked the Hilton SW for next year for $238 per night. Everywhere else is $350 - $500 as you'd expect on this premium weekend. Don't expect these to last - get in quick.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Always a risk that they change it, particularly with chance of new events, so would only be booking flexible.

eg. KUL race has varied between one week and two weeks after MEL recently.

i never book until Bernie rubber stamps it.
I guess I've taken that risk. Mind you, I don't really mind if the dates don't match as that way I can keep an eye on Mrs D.
This year, I was sitting in Friday practice when I got a call from Citi security.
Me: "Your ringing to tell me that my card has been getting such a work-out at David Jones and Myer that it must have been stolen"
Citi rep: "Whaaa..... How did you know what I was calling about"
Me: "My wife left our hotel an hour ago, please don't worry"

Enough said. I might even save some money

Hilton on the Park East Melbourne
$728 for the three nights over the GP weekend 13-15 March 2015; and the dates are now firm!
