Hoping someone here might have done this connection (or similar) and can advise re the process of getting from A gates to B gates at FRA. We will be returning from Sweden in a couple of weeks flying ARN-FRA on SQ2105 (codeshare operated by Lufthansa), connecting to SQ325 FRA-SIN, then home from SIN-PER. Connection time is 60 minutes (assuming our flight from ARN is on time!), all flights are on the same PNR so luggage will be checked through.

We transited through FRA on the outbound flights and, never having been through there before, found it a very confusing airport to get around. We arrived at a B gate and had to walk what seemed miles up and down various stairs and along a transit tunnel and then go through passport control and security screening before finally being able to access the A gates, which all up took just over an hour. As it will be the opposite process on the return trip (SQ2105 arrives at an A gate, SQ325 departs from a B gate), and given the short connection time, is there any way to stay in the secure area to get to the B gates, or will we have to go through security (and possibly even passport control) again?

Normally I would never book such a tight connection, but when we booked with SQ, it was the only connection they offered that didn't involve an early morning flight ARN-CPH-FRA and then a 10-12 hour wait to connect to our flight to SIN.
