Seat map shows QF568 tonight as International config? Thinking to upgrade for the overnight flight. But i don't want to get on board and find its just a domestic config plane?

You could get a skybed but most flights are standard dom configuration.

That's happened to me previously, with an equipment change a few days out, but if it's tonight's flight you should be reasonably safe.

Hadn't checked for a few days. Looks like its been changed to domestic config. :( I'll just try for a shadow me thinks... ;)

Last week I got the older XFA/XFB on both flights there and back from MEL-PER unfortunately. The initial seating map on both trips showed the new configuration initially then 2-3 days out, switched to the old config and I had to reselect my seat having been automatically bumped to row 4. Another pain was selecting 2A, only to be bumped out again to another row when I checked in because 2A was broken an unserviceable.

XFA/B are wrong airline.

As for QF, only 4 of the 20 or so 332's have skybeds, so most of the time you'll be in the domestic configurations unfortunately.

My bad, I think it's a sign that it's time for bed for me.

I think VA have advertised that all SYD-PER and MEL-PER flights are on the A330 though.

I got an intl a330 today MEL/PER on QF777. Was a nice surprise much prefer the skybed over the seats.

Coming back tmrw I bet it will be back to normal.

The CSM said they put on the big birds due to melb cup.

Incidentally the whole small plate vs big plate meal thing sucked. The crew also were amazingly busy.ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1383573138.572540.jpg

Did you see if it was a big bowl of soup for the main? ;)

It was indeed big, I was going to jump up in the middle of J and do my best Samuel L Jackson; "Mother$&@$& big Bowls on a mother@)&$$& plane" but thought better of it.

However in more shocking news there was a distinct lack of Lurpac!!!!!

Photo or it didn't happen!

No, you still have the 737's pop up. Plenty of evidence on here of that!

Although there are only four, transcon seems to be their new home along with the PER SIN rotation going by the tracker on QFsource:

That would make sense, as QF alluded to that in a press release (I.e 332's = mainly domestic).

I would have thought putting them on the struggling SIN services would have made more sense and put the A333s on transcon given the seat differential, maybe that's too much capacity for transcon?

QF762 today is a Skybed MK I as well, happy days! - although an hour late. The mof_ big bowls are back too (NPMBB - Neil Perry mof_ Big Bowls) still resisting the urge to go all Samuel L Jackson.ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1383608389.027076.jpg
