Hi Amelie, welcome to AFF.

Please check the site you are proposing to use. This is the site I used recently to apply for my Indian eVisa (and visited successfully). Indian Visa Application Note that it has a gov.in domain.

Take RooFlyers advice, there are a lot of commercial organisations out there masquerading as Indian Visa sites. Go with the official one, they charge less and you can be confident you will actually get your visa.

Dear All,

I am planning to take my family to India in coming new year. I want to apply for visa process now I am already done with my flight booking. I have done a little bit research on visa requirement and gone through the below link Is there any other requirements for a visa.
Indian Visa Requirements | India e-Visa Document | Travel Document.link https://indiaevisas.org/indian-visa-documents-requirements/.

Thanks in Advance
I have just travelled to India in May 2018, using the e-Visa option.
As mentioned up-thread, use the official Indian Government e-Visa website which ends in gov.in. All other sites are commercial and you will pay extra for this "service".

You will need a passport photo to upload, along with your passport "bio-page." - These both have to be scanned. I received my e-Visa within 3 days of lodging the application so it was very speedy indeed.

yes. definitely use the .gov.in site.
we went late last year. mine came in ~24hrs and the other family members took 48-72hrs.
