It seems Asia Miles have quietly increased the points required for partner airlines in the last couple of month without any warning or notice. For example, a business class from Sydney to Tokyo now costs 61100 points as opposed to 50,000 points a few months back. This is a further devaluation from the recent round where one way from Sydney to Tokyo increased from 40,000 to 50,000. It’s really disappointing given the scale of the devaluation. If you take into account the 50% amex devaluation, the total devaluation amounts to 75% - a bit of a joke ?

Well I just had a look and, sure enough, it is now 61,000 Asia Miles for SYD-HND in J on Oneworld partner airlines. I wonder how many other routes have changed.

Any idea when this changed? I haven't seen any announcement but I do note that Asia Miles stopped publishing a partner airline award chart last year, so I guess they can just do this kind of thing now and not be held accountable.

I can't see any changes to the Asia Miles award charts for CX/KA flights, or the Oneworld multi-carrier awards.

Would have been a couple months ago. I booked a J Sydney to Tokyo and was charged 50,000 points each way back in August...
