American Express Travel Credits

I noticed I have one $400 and two $300 travel credits. I think travel credits replaced the free annual flight which I have never taken advantage of.

I thought I would book a hotel which is about $90.00. The hotel is selectable in the Amex site. If I charge that against my $400 credit, would that mean I will have $310 remaining in that credit after the booking or would I lose the whole credit?

Needs to all be used in one go, so you'd lose the $310

Note that if one books online that the Travel Credit can only be selected once your booking is equal or greater to the TC.

To do ones balance if so inclined you would need to call up.
