Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

I'm not seeing the really good deals unfortunately, maybe just looking at the wrong dates.

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

even cheaper ex-kul (as usual)

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

Hmm best I can see is $700 return. Still darn good, but not worth it for a weekend!

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

Note the limited dates in OPs post.

Found this on Ozbargain.com.au/deals

Best deal seems to be Syd to KL . Lie flat bed, luggage, seat selection on certain dates are really cheap.
I.e 15 April to 23rd is AU$256 inclusive. remember to untick insurance.
Find out all details here and read feed back for tips about dates
Irresistible for flat bed.

Cheapest flights from Melbourne to SYD $80 Jetstar, each way, $66 on Tiger, Cheap trip. JoyV

Oh my lord, thank you so much for posting!

Now to check out the available dates and see if I ~really~ want to go to Asia for a quick trip :D

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

deal is dead now. There are still $300 economy returns and approx $700 premium returns available but the $0 plus taxes fares in premium are gone.

I suspect it was an error

I got in at 7:15, 2 pax return SYD-KUL in Premium, $544 including $34 odd in credit card fees. Got a booking confirmed email, money has been taken off the AMEX, and have been able select seats - but no itinerary as yet.

Will be a fun night away if it is honoured!!

well the itineraries can take a little while depending how busy the servers are

sorry for double posting, next time i will know where the right place is. Deal has expired. that means the fault as been rectified. question - Will those cheap tickets be honoured or refunded? JoyV

I'm currently in Kuala Lumpur and a few hours ago got off an Air Asia X SYD-KUL flight in their premium cabin ..... it's actually not too bad for a LCC. MUCH better than JQi's equivalent because at least D7 has fully flat but angle sloping seats compared to JQs recliners. As its a LCC I wasn't expecting much and that pretty much summed up the experience received. Definitely a third tier premium cabin experience but then again it is probably a third tier airline. Good luck to those who booked this deal, I hope it sticks.

If this had worked out of MEL I would have jumped in.

I will be surprised if they honor it though - it was clearly an error fare charging taxes only for 'J'. Airlines only honor error fares for 3 reasons:
1) They legally have to (i.e. because of DOT);
2) They are worried about bad publicity; or
3) They don't want to lose loyal customers.

Reason 1 does not apply in this case because the fares do not touch the US and LCCs dont usually care about Reasons 2 and 3. They'd probably welcome the bad publicity to promote their 'J' product - I dont think thta many know they have it.
