Hi Guys, Been out of the loop a little lately and know that AA have diminished in value a lot so appreciate people's thoughts on following.

I am AA Plat (life) so lounge entry always easy exc domestic US and I am a QF NB.

I Have flown a little on own coin with AA this year EQD - 2000, EQM - 18,000, EQS - 10

A client has just bought me a $9k D class PER-BNE-LAX-CLT/SFO-SYD-PER on QF flight numbers and QF ticket stock (plus one Y class AA CLT-SFO on AA flight number (as no D avail and figured my upgrade chances were good with an AA number)).

If I credit all flights to AA I am unclear as to whether this ticket earns me any EQD?

I am also wondering if this is the ticket to finally jump off the AA earning altogether and revert to QFF?

I'm unlikely to do much more AA or QF paid travel this year and if I do it's most likely to be on disc economy fares.

I realise it's a philosophical question but would appreciate people's opinions on whether I'm better crediting to AA as usual (with whom I am becoming increasingly disillusioned following a happy marriage for 10+yrs) or moving it to QF?
Or is there a new horse in the race worth thinking about??

All thoughts appreciated

I am another LTP with AA who has become disillusioned with AA.Very hard to get premium cabin AA awards now.But they are still better-less points and surcharges-than QFF on partner airlines. The problem is that now there are hordes of AA elites chasing awards on partner airlines.I have noticed that JAL awards are becoming much harder to obtain and disappear quickly.
As I am going to do a few paid flights I have switched to BA.I can qualify OWE there but not on AA or QF with the flights I am doing.
If not doing a lot of paid flights probably still better to credit to AA than QF.
