I am flying from ADL to MEL on a Saturday.

The QF website just says breakfast served. Will this be a hot breakfast?

thanks

At the moment, it's normally the egg mcmuffin combo (assuming you are in Y)

I haven't had the muffin for a couple of months now. As serfty noted, breakfast seems to have reverted to cereal, fruit and a fruit brioche.

The strange looking slightly warmed roll with bits of fruit in it.

Have to confess though that it does not look much like anything here

Perhaps fruit bun might be more appropriate.

The MEL-ADL breakfast this morning was Just Right cereal and a brioche sans fruit which looked and tasted like a bread roll (frozen then reheated).
I think they now use the egg and bacon muffins for wheel chocks. Maccas now use 'real' bacon and 'real' eggs. Not sure what QF were using.

Interestingly enough, I've done a few Qantaslink flights recently; and on all flights the bread roll (lunch + dinner) has been both warm, and not so bad to eat!

Interesting.

Most flights I've been on the bread roll was probably the most dangerous weapon on board.

Qantaslink (operated by National Jet), or Qantas? This is my experience with Qantas... but with QL, I've been pleasantly surprised

It's a different type of roll, too.. I can take a pic next Friday if you like ;)

Qantas purchase the left over QantasLink bread rolls. They collect them every Friday ready for the following week's flights.

I was under the impression they went into storage before they appeared on a QF flight/

There you go, all fixed.

There is nothing wrong with the bread rolls served on Qantas or Qantaslink flights.

If there is nothing further to add to this thread can it please be closed?

Oh I didn't realise... if JohnK has spoken, there really cannot be anything more to say. My apologies!

Everyone knows Qantas "rolls" are pathetic and sad.
