Tried to make a book through the Accor website earlier today for Aparthotel Adagio Basel, using some points some payment. Upon hitting confirm the website informed me a ‘critical error’ had occurred. No booking was made or appeared in my account but the points were deducted. Accor customer service (after 2 agents spent 45 minutes looking into it) advised me they couldn’t do anything about it and to contact the Aparthotel customer service and hotel directly. I’ve done this and the Hotel front desk has replied telling me they have gone back to Accor Loyalty for an answer.

Has anyone else had issues like this and how likely\easy is it to resolve the points issue?

Hi Bluebean.
Did you get your problem solved? I had the same problem this morning ,while trying to book the Sofitel Darling Harbour.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I did manage to get a resolution after the front desk of the hotel contacted customer service on my behalf. The points were put back into my account but there was no other communication.

I would contact the hotel directly and explain what has happened.

Thank you for your reply Bluebean.
I called up Customer Service and they have told Sofitel Darling Harbour about the problem.
Fingers crossed it will be resolved ASAP. The customer service guy did mention that the website currently has problems with hotel bookings.

Accor IT is well known for its...opportunity to improve. Over in the Flyertalk forums, there are pages dedicated to just this sort of issue; so you’re not alone.

Ha, yeah i saw that Flyertalk thread too. I am gonna write my experiences over there . Hmmm,,i just realised that the Accor email from Customer Service got my name wrong too.

Anyone had issues with Accor bookings today?

Trying to book the movenpick in Hobart but website and app both failing to process the booking. Returns either a general technical error or room no longer available error…
