Made quite a few reservations through the Qantas Restaurants site over the last couple of weeks (less than 8), however no points have been posted.

On looking through the claim missing points link in the QFF profile, its states that restaurants:
Retrospective points claims not accepted

Really???

So my question is, have any of you had success in claiming restaurants points when they've not posted. (by keeping receipts, sending booking confirmation screenshots phoning up, etc) and what is your success rate?

How long has it been since your reservations, as the points do take a number of weeks to post?

SWMBO has booked a lot of these and they did take quite a while to come through, circa 4 weeks. A recent reservation did not register at the restaurant and they said they were having issues with these types of bookings. I suspect we will not see the points for this reservation! Great meal though!! :)

I suspect that content on the web page relates specifically to the online form for claiming.

As for Qantas restaurants, it's via "Dimmi" and points can take up to 8 weeks to arrive. I find they normally arrive between one and two weeks into the next month.

e.g. Points for two separate dines on 1st and 27th March 2014 both credited on the 14th April.

I suspect that if points for a January or February dines have not posted there may be an issue.

Dimmi's T&C state you should bring a printed copy of either the confirmation or the reminder email with you and present it on arrival. Terms and Conditions - Dimmi

* To earn 100 Qantas Points per diner you must book your reservation at qantas.com/restaurants and quote your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number and name (as it appears on your Qantas Frequent Flyer account) when making your reservation. Qantas Points will be awarded to the Qantas Frequent Flyer member whose membership number and name (as it appears on their Qantas Frequent Flyer account) was quoted in the reservation. Reservations made under a name that does not identically match the corresponding Qantas Frequent Flyer number provided will not be eligible to receive Qantas Points. 100 Qantas Points per diner will be awarded for the number of diners specified in a reservation who dine under the reservation (for example, if the reservation indicates 5 people and 4 people attend, only 400 points will be earned. Alternatively, if the reservation indicates 5 people and 7 people attend, only 500 points will be awarded). Qantas Points earned on reservations made at qantas.com/restaurants may take up to 8 weeks to be credited to the relevant Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Qantas Points cannot be split between members on any single reservation.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I had points post on 18 March for a booking made on 18 October of last year. A shade over 8 weeks I'd say.

With these things I now take the view that I had to make a booking at that restaurant anyway and if the points come through it's a nice bonus and if not (or if it takes forever), meh. Unless this was your way of keeping your account active in which case I'd probably put some fight into it.

I booked online and got a phone call from the restaurant a couple of days later abusing me for not turning up - i thought I must have booked the wrong date but I checked and I had got it wrong - went to visit them and they were less than helpful and reminded them I had booked for a couple of weeks ahead - arrived on the night and no booking and no table so walked out (they promised they would ring me back and make it up to me - never heard from them again- BUT I got the Qantas points :) about 8 weeks after I should have gone
