It looks like AA is finally following the footsteps of BA and reduced earning rates on BA metal. Can't exactly confirm but based on what Ben has said on OMAT, it seems like the new chart is up on a couple of websites. This is a cough move by AA to spring this on us 1 week before it actually goes into affect. This is going to make me second guess the great SIN-SYD BA fares.

Is this getting any airtime over at AA Flyertalk forum?

Not just Qantas that makes enhancements.

Schemes are schemes ... Do not make long term plans based on an award scheme!

Yeah it has a thread on FT. Everyone is speculating since there isn't any formal announcement but we think its here to stay.

Looks like AA has backtracked/retracted/fixed on the reduction of miles on BA metal. Perhaps this is what is to come early next year? Who knows...
