Hi All,
i am a Gold QANTAS FF member and a very lowly AAdvantage member. When I booked a flight on AA recently they added by AAdvantage number and not the QFF one even though I expressly asked them to. Anyway the status credits were earned on AA and not QANTAS. I tried to get them added post flight but nothing happened. AA weren't all that helpful!
Anyway something to be aware of. On the next AA flight I made them check at the counter and all was ok

Re: QANTAS FF and American Advantage Status credits

It's a bit of a hassle but there's every chance you can have AA un-credit the flight. You would then be able to claim the flight as a missing points claim in your QFF account.

Re: QANTAS FF and American Advantage Status credits

I'm trying to do the reverse and it's causing me a huge headache.

I had two MH flights several weeks ago. My AA number was printed clearly on both boarding passes but the flights still credited to QF (the QF number was in there originally but should have been removed for these two flights as I requested). I managed to get Qantas to un-credit them and then I submitted a claim to AA. In the comments field on the AA claim form I noted that the flights had been credited to QF but they have since been removed and if they wanted confirmation of this to let me know. Clearly they didn't read this as the claim was denied because the flights have already been credited to another program. So I sent AA a fax with the boarding passes and a copy of my QF statement showing the flights first credited and then removed. Denied again because the flights have already been credited to another program.

Very frustrating.
