Hi All, your thoughts and experiences will be appreciated! -

I have a European holiday coming up and I'm using all my saved up Velocity points to purchase a Business Rewards flight with Etihad to Germany/France from... Perth... or...

Question is.... is it worth me flying to Melb or Syd and jumping on the A380?

It would cost me an extra $400-$500 dollars in cash going to Melb/Syd to do this (as I live in Broome, so I have to get to a capital city anyway).

The Perth flight aircraft would be a B787 I think ...

Cheers

Welcome to AFF Frodosmum.

TomVexille is correct re Business studio on A380 and 787. If departing from Mel/Syd, you'll get to enjoy the Etihad lounge and when on board, the Lobby lounge (nothing to write about TBH).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks mmchow and TomVexille - I have used the lobby bar on Emirates a380 and loved it - but had heard Etihad's wasn't as good. Thanks for your posts

I would think the lounge and the onboard bar would not be enough to warrant a trip east, as the seat on the 787 is the same as the 380.
