Hi all

Just a quick question: flying Sydney to Perth soon, with a bub (15 months) for the first time, so there's a fair of anxiety! We are on the A330 and I'm trying to figure out the best place for us to sit with an infant.

I have reserved the middle front row economy seats (23E, 23F) for me and the wife. Seatguru indicates the armrest is immovable but for some reason I remember the middle armrest being movable (between 23E and 23F). See pic below.

Can anyone confirm?

I have seen and experienced that. Some do, some don't - here's a 332 photo from 2015 which indicates no. You may be in luck with a 333 or a more recent configuration.

Might be worth bearing in mind that with two bassinet positions at that bulkhead they might move passengers around to give you the D/E or F/G combo, allowing another couple with infant the other pair.

Yes, we have that in mind too. Our bub is definitely going to be too big for a bassinet. :/

Lots of empty seats still showing on the flight, so I am more worried about what @AustraliaPoochie said with them swapping it to a 737!

@MEL_Traveller - nice find on the picture! It does remind me of the annoying controller on the inside of the seat - always suffered from annoying accidental presses given someone of my "stature" shall we say...

I think you mean serfty! :)

have you considered a comfort seat for the infant? You'd stil have to nurse for takeoff and landing, but having three seats guaranteed will give everyone some guaranteed space.
