Our next adventure begins early on Friday.Fares were expensive on the QF MCY-SYD flight so we are on an AA J award.Staying at the Rydges Ultimo-Chinatown.
The next day a taxi to the White Bay Cruise terminal.Next to us will be the Silver Whisper with Turtlemichael onboard.Sadly we will not meet.We are on the Silver Muse.It will be the largest ship we have cruised on so we will see how we go.596 guests if full and the cruise has been waitlisted for some time.

Visiting Eden,Melbourne,Milord Sound,DoubtfulSound,Stewart Island,Dunedin,Christchurch,Picton,Gisborne,Tauranga and finishing in Auckland.

Then 5 nights on our last SPG award at the Four Points Aucland followed by 6 days driving to the East Coast and finally back AKL-BNE on another AA J award.

Picton..... tossing up if we’re going to stay at a Lodge near that area in a few months. Keen to see what you get up to...

Have spent a lot of time in this area as one side of my family is from Nelson/ Marlborough. What are you looking at?

Stowing away for this.

I see so many cruise ships in Auckland. Will be nice to find out what life is like onboard.

Don't worry too much about the food...

Looking at The Marlborough Lodge & Stonefly Lodge.

We wanted to try Otahuna Lodge.... but the dates don’t work.

I posted a few weeks ago that we saw the Silver Muse as it passed PQQ. It was certainly an impressive looking ship & I am very interested to follow your report

Bugger stowing away. I am selling the house and taking over the Stateroom on the Upper Deck. I will be the one wearing sequins and a large necklace at dinner.

I'll find a seat somewhere

My first "modern age" cruise was on the Diamond Princess from NZ to sidderney.
We were up high and up the front.
Coming out of MIlford we sailed into a force 10 gale and we were suddenly on a big roller coaster.
I loved every second….

What ..... no tiara ?? :D
A tiara does make a nice statement IMO. :p
When I was staying in a cottage at Balmoral Castle, a friend gave me a tiara to wear! The photo was of me hanging out the washing (on lines strung between trees no less) in my nightie and tiara!
And... I swear we were passed by Lizzy in one of the Range Rovers. We were told she had come in to the estate a few days early and was in one of the other homes, not the castle itself. Walking on one of the roads one evening we were passed twice by the Range Rover driven by an older woman with a headscarf. Swear it was her from the view I got!

One thing I have learned from why QM2 with Pushka is that although a beaded gown is lovely and looks smashing, it is incredibly heavy in the luggage. I've decided no more beaded numbers!
