Hi all,
Travelling to the US for a family holiday next year and I'm trying to get my head around a few things, but haven't been able to find definitive answers to some of them (I am easily confused though).
So here goes:
My details:
--> Currently Gold status, on track for Plat by the time we fly mid next year
--> Wife and 2 x kids are Bronze
--> Kids will be 14 and 16 on departure
Trip details:
1. SYD > SFO via Fiji (Nadi). Classic reward (CLASS X)
2. SFO > SYD via Qantas, Classic Reward (CLASS Z)
--> Does this mean we won't be able to get any lounge access in Sydney because it isn't a QF flight?
--> Does anyone know what the deal is with the Cathay Pacific Lounge access in SFO? Seems to be a case-by-case situation?
--> If I CAN get lounge access (in either city), what's the deal with kids? From what I have read, QF flights will allow them in(?), but Associated Lounges may restrict to a single guest? In people's experience, if we rock up to the counter as a family, are they flexible in allowing immediate family in?
Thanks for the help!
