I apologise if these have been asked (no doubt they would have been) but my dodgy PNG internet connection is blocking the AFF search function for some reason.

I have flexi bookings for March and decided to apply for an upgrade for each. The questions I have about that are:
1. Does an upgrade to J grant me lounge access (silver)
2. It states the upgrades have been confirmed and seat selection in J has been made by me. The flights are still about 3 months away. Is this normal? I thought upgrades weren't confirmed until a lot closer to the flight date with QF?
3. The upgrade fee was 7500 points each. Does that fee change (increase) for the discounted fares or is the fee the same as determined by the distance?

Thanks.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

1. Yes
2. Domestic upgrades confirm immediately if there is upgrade availability (guessing you have a domestic flight?)
3. Yes, the fee to upgrade from a flexi is cheaper than an upgrade from discount Y

I assume you're talking about a domestic flight.

1. Flying in J will give you access to the J lounge. Status is irrelevant.

2. Some domestic upgrades can be confirmed immediately, others don't come through until later (if at all).

3. To give one example, SYD-ADL upgrade is 7,500 from Flexible Economy, 15,000 from Discount Economy.

Many thanks to the three of you for such a rapid response. All q's answered. Yes they are dom...CNS-BNE and BNE-MEL.
