A bit of nostalgia

Came across this. Brought back a few memories.

I went to Greenwich Emirates simulator in London to land big bird at both Kai Tak and Sydney Airports. That was a good experience you might want to try when we are flying again.
I did Kai Tak because it was tricky.
I did learn I wasn't a brilliant pilot too.

Never forget landing there for the first time in 1990, descending past balconies where the locals were putting out their washing. Quite amazing.

Yes @OATEK I remember doing that too.

My first and only landing at Kai Tak was also my first O/s flight and my first flight on a B747. The next time I went that direction, the new airport had just opened.

I recall the shiver that went through me on approach to Kei Tak when I thought the pilot was going to take the top off a building on the way in.
