70SC short of Gold

Hi All,

I thought I should sign up after I discovered the site a month or so ago.

A couple of questions. I'm currently 70SC short of Gold, and want to get there sooner rather than later. I family pool with my wife and I'm looking to take 1-2 week break in June. either HBA and BNE for a few days each or SIN for a week or so. I have looked going via MLB to HBA to increase the sectors but with the 2 of us flying flex its over $1,700!! Any suggestions for some quick and relatively cheap options to get me to gold?


Secondly, I have read that you can take family when checking in priority etc. can anyone confirm if they can access the premium kerb side access with you as well for quicker access into the lounge.

Hi there and welcome.

For cheap options look to do a tourist destination like Cairns for the afternoon, they are often a little cheaper than the main trunk routes for the same SC.

SYD-OOL-CNS or SYD-BNE-CNS would be probably the better options.

If you're a gold member yes you can take your family with you when checking in at the airport and yes in SYD/BNE you can all use the Premium Entry

Once you get gold how many times do you think you will fly in Economy (y) until the next anniversary date? In other words a value question

Never refused entry as a Gold. Even last year when wife was flying VA SYD-BNE and I was flying QF.

I should make the 400SC to renew gold next year. We already have an OS holiday planed, at least 6 SYD-BNE flights and a few work trips so I see value in getting to gold.
