T&Cs for Me: An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas marketed flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned. 50% more Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Flight Rewards. See Airline Earning Tables for details. This offer is valid when you register and make a new eligible flight booking between 12.01am (AEST) 24 August 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 30 August 2016 for travel between 24 August 2016 and 22 December 2016. This bonus offer applies to travel taken by the recipient of this email only (regardless of other passengers in the same booking), and is not transferable. Each passenger must register separately to be eligible for the offer. Bonus Status Credits may take up to 6 weeks after completion of travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account

Interesting - I got a targeted one for 50% more SC on flights to Darwin - have been looking at flights to Darwin for a work trip - wonder if that triggers it as well

I too got one this morning *Fly to Perth, get 50% more status credits" I had been looking at KGI-PER classic reward flights (and cash) on Friday. It will come in useful as I a few domestic flights to book soon..

Hi all,

Like others I received a 50% status credit offer today. However the subject of the email I received reads Fly to the United States, get 50% more Status Credits and it even has a photo of NY & the statue of liberty. However nowhere in the message body or T&Cs does it mention that the offer is only eligible for travel to the US.

Can someone confirm if this offer is really limited to travel to the US, or can I pick up the bonus SC's on any QF flight?

I happened to be browsing around for flights to the US about a week or two ago but never booked, so maybe they've just included it in the message to get my attention?

I'm curious because my membership year runs out 30th September, I'm currently 120 SCs short of retaining gold, and I have a few domestic trips next month which will earn me just enough SC's to retain gold but only with the bonus SCs. I would prefer not to have to do a status run if I can avoid it. :)

50% more Status Credits on Qantas flights
Dear XX,
There's never been a better time to book with Qantas. For a limited time, you'll be rewarded with 50% more Status Credits on eligible flights with a QF flight number on your ticket.[SUP]*[/SUP]

You can enjoy this offer on an unlimited number of flights booked in the next 7 days so it's a great way to help get your Status Credits balance soaring.

Simply register and make a new booking between 29 August 2016 and 4 September 2016 for travel from 29 August 2016 to 27 December 2016. And don't forget to include your Frequent Flyer membership number in your booking.

The T&Cs at the bottom of the e-mail read as follows:

Flights are subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via the Qantas website, a travel agent or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees may apply. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn bonus Status Credits. This bonus offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer by Qantas. Only one bonus Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. If you qualify for multiple bonus offers, the offer first registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking and/or travel is completed outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply.

Maybe their IT department isn't as useless as we thought and they are keeping on eye on what you're looking at - might be worth continuing to do this for places I want to go and look for a DSC offer

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The untargeted DSC offer earlier this year covered flights till about Mid April next year (check the T&Cs for the exact dates) so there might not be any DSC offer for a while.

Looking at a couple of US trips later this year and early next year, plus have plenty of domestic flights to be booked soon. Wish I had received this!

Yeah in my case it's personalized "fly to Singapore...." I originally thought it's for flights to Singapore only (how special!) which I've been looking around for.

Just hit Platinum a couple of months ago and also got my first 50% SC offer ever, today.
Subject was generic: "coriander, get 50% more Status Credits on your next flight".
Same 29/8-6/9 booking window for travel before 28 December.

Will be very close to Platinum this year. Wish I received one of these as I'd probably do a run to make it over the line.

As others have mentioned, my email offer was "targeted" to a destination that I have searched a few times - including looking at classic reward bookings. Although the headline subject and pictures were for SIN, the offer TnC were generic.

Ps. I had already booked so the "targeted" offer somewhat missed the point.

I got the email, specifying Perth. But the terms and conditions state 'any qantas flight'. Confusing. If I had been interested I would not have wanted to hold for two hours on the phone to enquire.

How quickly does this bonus post? My dsc offer earlier in the posted within a day or two of flights. I'm now 4 days after a qualifying flight with additional sc's.

As far as I can recall, this is the first targeted SC bonus offer I have ever received - and just in time to help me fall over the gold line!

My understanding is that SCs are recorded against the date of the flight, not when they are posted. Is that correct? My membership year ends 31-Oct, and I have some flights at the end of Oct - but the bonus points may take up to 6 weeks to post. I hope that is not going to be a problem getting to gold?

It shouldn't be an issue. Once they post your account will show as Gold.

I need just 25SC before my 31-Oct reset that it looks like I will have to pay for. Cheapest I can see is SYD-TMW-SYD $218.00 return for 30SC (with the 50% bonus) = $7.27/SC.

The question is, can I check in for both the depart and return sectors at the same time (and basically walk off the plane, and back into the boarding queue - only a 20min turnaround), or do I have to get the return boarding pass when I am there (which presumably means I have to wait for the next flight, the soonest being 3hrs later)?

Once check in opens you will be able to do it electronically. If not at the airport they will be able to do it.

Silly question and I'm sure the answer is yes, but can anyone confirm that the 50% bonus SCs will still be applied to a booking paid from QF vouchers?

I'm hoping I can squeeze my upcoming J LHR flight in within the 7 days once work confirms dates.

I'd defer to red roo on that one. Based on previous promos where the voucher creation date has affected bonus SCs, i'd be very cautious.
