Hello, I was hoping to get advice on a couple of things:

1. If I'm QF Gold and flying HKG-SIN on Jetstar Asia, would I have access to the QF business lounge in HKG?

2. If yes, does anyone know when the bag drop opens? The website shows 2h prior to the flight. I have a 14:25 flight so assuming I arrive at the airport mid-morning (after checking out at the hotel), that's a couple of hours twiddling my thumbs - which means I'd be better off using the city check-in. The alternative would be to use the HKG airport baggage service at $12/h, but the walk back and forth would probably cut out half the time I have.

Thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Actually, that was the part that confused me. When I look at the "Qantas International Business Lounge" table, the Jetstar column has a "+" symbol. The corresponding footnote states:

+ Jetstar refers to Jetstar Airlines (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), Jetstar Japan (GK) and Jetstar Pacific (BL). Must be travelling onwards on a Jetstar Airways operated and marketed flight in the business cabin on a business max fare. Lounge access is only permitted in the port where Jetstar Business operates from. No guest permitted.

My interpretation of the above would be that I'm not eligible if I'm flying Jetstar economy, despite being QF gold - but people's practical experience seems to be different!

That para only refers to non-elites.
So a JQ Business passenger has no lounge access, only Business Max.

Qantas elites have separate rules

I guess I'm confused because I'm not looking at the Eligible travel class section of the page, which refers to JQ passengers. I'm looking specifically at the table for the Qantas members > QF International Business Lounges, where the "Gold QFF" row and "Jetstar+ " column intersect. Based on this, my interpretation is that the "+" fine print would apply.

Of course, it's not uncommon for the Qantas website to have errors, but it's also not uncommon for Qantas to "enhance" features!

Sorry for being paranoid but would love to hear whether the page / fine print was always this way?
