I don't have a pet and found someone near me for $24 a night.

$24 for 2024 points sounds pretty good!

Anyone considered doing this?

Not sure i’d personally value 2000 points to be worth $24

Thanks for the info. I wonder if they would be happy to take your $24 and no pet. Worth asking!

Jeez, pet sitting is a pretty good income these days. Everyone near me is asking $50+ a day.

My dog died in March of this year so no dog at the moment but wouldn’t mind 2,000 points either.

Currently, a SYD-LHR F award is 192k + $625.

If $24 buys you 2024 points, then you buy the F award at:
= (~95 x $24) + $625
= $2,905.

The same revenue F saver fare is a bit over $11,000.

In this example, 1 point is redeemed to the value of (11,000 - 625) / 192,000 = 5.4c or $0.054.
2024 points = $109.30

What would you value 2024 points to be worth then? (Honest question)

If you are in a position to churn credit cards earning 100k for $200-400, very little. The $80 Huawei / 40k points deal with Vodafone was worthwhile though.

The limit is the number of card offers you can get in a given time period.
Not to mention your overall earn rate, which includes regular spend.
Guess it depends on what you use your points on and how many you use.
If you are WP/P1 and go on multiple J/F oneworld awards a year, this helps.

What was the Vodafone deal?
