Now i could be stupid... but what config has seat 29F on a QF 744, especially QF6 on 16/5/09 SIN-SYD ???
2 class has whY in row 29 on one config... but only a galley etc where the F seat would be, the other 2 class has a 29F but its a J seat is it not ?

Have i been pre-allocated and Op-Up ?

Yes this sounds like a real newbie question but i did check the seat maps and i am either blind or lucky....

ExpertFlyer seat map for that flight shows it as a 3-class config with F cabin sold as J. J cabin includes rows 1-4, 11-18 and 23-26. Y seat map is not available so can't really confirm if its a 3 or 4-class config. Its possible its a 14F/66J/265Y config, and the rear mini-cabin J seats (rows 29-30) have been sold as Y.

Nah, no seat map for whY. I was a bit sleepy not thinking about checking the seat maps. For sure front of the plane looks like 14F. J seat map is only showing to row 26, but makes sense they would do whY service in row 29 & 30. Still a skybed is fantastic, i really needed to sleep as well !!
Looks like 'fingers crossed' that i just got lucky.

J seat map is showing rather full also.. 14 reserved and only 4 free, 46 full.

And i only just now booked an O fare... $820 SGD return.

Good Evening Mr E!

QF0006 SIN-SYD 16MAY is scheduled to be operated by the one and only VH-OEJ, "Wunala Dreaming". Of course, due to operational requirements this could very well change before your scheduled departure.

3 and 4-Class 747-400s are rotated through Brisbane to Los Angeles (a couple a week - you should see the list!) on a very regular basis and less often through to Frankfurt from Sydney.

Have a pleasant flight!

Cheers

How far in advance is this known? Looking for BNE-LAX 12Sep09.

Thanks WD, i got you PM. This is good and interesting news.
First time for me on WD, i have been on ND years ago, but this will be a first for me.

I saw WD land as i was in the taxi driving to the airport, and still in 29F :)
Sitting in the FCL now just enjoying a pre take-off drink.
And also scored an op-up on the SYD-MEL on a 738 :) i must be blessed !

Evan is an diot, shows how little domestic travel i do i was thinking row 4 was J and row 5 first of whY on a 738, i am actually in whY for my connection this morning, not complaining though, SIN-SYD was as expected in the mini cabin of J sold as whY and catered as whY but how nice it was to have the skybed :) i still feel human after some sleep. Big thuimbs up to QF for looking after there FF's.

Noticed that whY was full, but not many WP's only 3 of us i think were greeted and handed express cards etc. Maybe some more in true J also, no idea.

WD looks nice up close, inside of course just like any of the other ER's in the fleet.
