Qatar Airways is now selling tickets on the Adelaide-Auckland leg of its Doha-Adelaide-Auckland flights, for travel from next month. This means you’ll soon be to fly in Qatar Airways Qsuites across the Tasman!
QR flights to AKL later in the year/Jan 2022 are shown as back to DOH-BNE-AKL. But BNE-AKL not for sale checking random Jan dates
To be seen in QR restart the nonstop DOH-AKL route and via BNE/ADL is just a place holder.

ADL-AKL $475 one way a little lower~similar to a QF ADL-SYD/MEL-AKL for a random April date. QF has at $451 for May
A good bit more than BNE/SYD/MEL fares to NZ (far more competition)

Edit
Other thread on QR AU NZ-->Odd route QR (QTR/Qatar) DOH - ADL - AKL some days, also vv other alternate days

I think it's the first airline to recommence flying out of Adlelaide to NZ and seems to have been a surprise to TA's here as it was not mentioned last week on their radio promo.

This rerouting created some angst for our Adeliade LHR flight in May that was cancelled because the schedule changed and Qatar didn't rebook us on the next flight.

QR have been flying the DOH-(ADL)-AKL and DOH-(BNE)-AKL with kiwi pax, including for quarantine, but TT has not been for sale.
On 16 March NZ changed the opening dates for people from AU to 13 April. QR have been quick to react with tickets for sale.

Maybe but the schedule for Adelaide changed recently to accommodate this, Not been advertised here. it's always consistently been the same three night departures from Adelaide a week to LHR. And the first time ever that departures to AKL from Adelaide have been sellable on Qatar. The only other direct flight Adelaide that I know of has been with AirNZ.

If AKL demand increases the DOH-AKL nonstop may be reinstated Then ADL BNE tag on flights will go.
Yes only Air NZ flew ADL-AKL. QF, JQ & VA did not have ADL-NZ flights

I hope some award seats appear. Would be a great use of points across the Tasman!

This would actually be a good option for PER folks wanting to fly OW. Anything to avoid the SYD domestic to international transfer is a good thing. Downside is no F lounge for WPs.

There's no lounge anywhere post Immigration in Adelaide. It's basic QP or nothing and then go through border control.

I think I heard they were working on that though - I may be dreaming though and it may have been BC

Nothing at the moment. I assume the limit of 1x J seat to/from Oz rule will be in play…

The ADL QP is probably the best QP in the country and not too far behind the SYD dom J lounge. I've departed ADL on a QR flight before. The lounge being prior to border control wasn't an issue. By the time they call you through everyone else has gone through border control. So very quick and boarding commenced within a few minutes.

Returning to PER the lounge location is a non-issue.

Being large is a huge bonus.
I was on an Emirates F reward out of Adelaide and the QP had to stay open until we left. The food was extremely tired and there were crumbs all over the floor. It wasn't a great way to start my F experience - BUT it did get a lot better. That shower at 35,000 feet is the best.

This suggests there may be a new lounge for international departures so maybe @Pushka will be the first to let us know

Awful times flying to Auckland though - wouldn't want to be in Y but coming back is definitely decent timing.
From October 4th QR914 changes to 1825 departure from ADL and arrives in AKL at 0105
Much better timing and the dates I’m looking at it’s $1900 return in J which is not too bad at all IMO

Trip it tells me 61 days away. Not that I'm counting.

Months ago I went down to the new departure area and was talking to one of the airport staff. It was mentioned that there is an airside lounge but he did not have (or would not tell me) which airlines would be using it.
