Picked this up a few days ago when it was 1200 Miles,

Requires a subscription to the Wall Street Journal, 3 months for $1 can cancel after 45 days.

Miles posted in 5 days. Used AMEX and 90210 post code.

Was just about to use this, knowing my miles were going to expire this month. Apparently I missed them by 3 days. Oh well.

That sux, I hope you didn’t loose to much. These AA shopping mall deals can be a little sketchy with points posting and T&C’s for non US residents but I like to have a go every once and a while.
Now if I could just get Europcar to credit my miles from 4 months ago I’d be happy.

1600 miles, not really worth worrying about them, especially as they were mostly a prize from some competition. I've tried using the mall before without luck.

Are the T&Cs possibly a little ambiguous? I see a 12 week subscription for $12 earns 1k miles and then it goes on to say one and two months subscriptions for $1 are also possible. I would have thought there's a fair bit of wriggle room there to claim the 1k is only awarded on the $12 12 week subscription.

I just made sure I only signed up for the $1 subscription, nothing showing on my credit card yet?

Got burned by the economist deal. It appears you need to be early with these deals otherwise they shut them down as more take them up.

I thought I should add that I also received another 1200 Miles at $1 for signing up to a Barron’s subscription, same terms as the WSJ. I didn’t think the Barron’s Miles would post because on sign up it was the same as WSJ portal and I didn’t need to create an account, it just linked itself to the WSJ account, hence why I didn’t mention it in my original post.

To my surprise the 1200 points arrived tonight :)

So $2 for 2400 not bad but if you sign up to both now you should be able to net 2000 Miles for $2.

Barron's is a bit hard to get around the must be US cc etc. Follow up:

EDIT, went back to WSJ and used a zip in NYC with my own street address. The AA site then offered the Barron's deal and signed me up immediately without having to enter info again. Both $1 for 1000 miles each. Now, to cancel when the points come thorough and after 45 days.

Thanks @Croupier ...I needed some AA points to top up my account and keep it active so 2000 AA points for US$2 will come in handy

Ps: the online subscription triggered a fraud alert on my credit card :(

Should have checked this thread earlier. It's now $12 which I could manage but would prefer $1 - anyone else got any ideas on a cheap way to extend - I do have a month

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Woohoo, just called up to cancel both subscriptions.
Seems the orders never went though, I was wondering why my AMEX wasn't charged 2 x $1
Still got the 2400 miles though :):)

Have received 2x 1000 AA points :)...just need to remember to cancel at 45 days!

novice question. During purchase process, did you input an AAdvantage number anywhere?

I went through without, assuming it has gone through?

No, it’s much like the Qantas online mall.
First you log in to the AA shopping portal and then everything you buy is tracked.
