Death of my wife. How do I contact SIA to advise to get refund on her booking

Full refund for my wife's ticket has arrived in credit card account less $70 credit card fee. I have claimed the fee loss as part of my travel insurance claim. It has been a saga that should not have been quite so difficult, but I am relieved that part has been finalised.

Death of my wife. How do I contact SIA to advise to get refund on her booking

Got email overnight to say that Singapore Airlines have issued a full refund notice, but it could take up to 6 weeks for refund to appear on my credit card. Thank you to everyone for their condolences. It has been a very hard few weeks.

Death of my wife. How do I contact SIA to advise to get refund on her booking

I think finally have got agreement from Singapore Airlines to refund the value of my deceased wife's fully paid ticket. It has been a saga of repeating the same information in an ongoing email chain, but it looks like it is finally in place. But warned it would be a 6 week wait for the refund to...

Death of my wife. How do I contact SIA to advise to get refund on her booking

My wife died suddenly on 31 January after a short illness. We have booked on Singapore Airlines to travel to UK on 19 May and return in August. I have searched their webpage to find how to advise them and request a refund on her return ticket only and retaining mine. I am unable to find a phone...

Access to SilverKris Lounge if travelling Business Class

I have searched everywhere on Singapore Airlines site and I have found it quite unclear if my wife and I, (travelling Business Class) on Singapore Airlines Sydney to London, whether we are able to access their SilverKris lounges in Sydney, Singapore and London. We both dropped off the SilverKris...

New TRS rules? Goods no longer included in cap?

A little off topic, but, I was pulled aside after collecting a hard rifle case from oversized baggage and not having declared anything. Customs officer approached me and questioned what I had in the case (before I got to the exit of the baggage hall) . I responded that I had my dirty underwear...

What's a forgotten item a security has found in your bag?

Me too. But mine was a live 308 round. I had already flown a leg from a regional airport and was going through security at Sydney domestic when it was found. I was with a work colleague, and was very embarrassed. Very few questions asked, just confiscation of the item.

    General EV Discussion

I don't understand why you would think that it is a niche situation. I live in a regional centre in NSW but travel frequently into rural NSW, VIC and SA in my cars. Many of the places where I travel and stay do not have EV chargers. For example Ungarie NSW, Lower Light SA, Box Ridge NSW...

    What cheeses me off

Many years ago a colleague was involved in a multiple nose to tail collision. Even though he was stationary at the time, as was the cars behind and in front, the insurance companies had a knock for knock agreement, so he had to claim on his insurance. The insurance companies considered that each...

Very envious @Port Power . Partner and I were booked to take trip up Norwegian coast on Hurtigruten in 2021 which we had to cancel because of the covid. Unfortunately, my partner has since been diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing extensive treatment for 14 months. Until treatment all...

    Car hire London to Oxford

As a retired Road Designer, I have always wanted to go to Swindon just to have a look at that wondrous Magic Roundabout but have been banned by my wife. I believe that it solved the traffic problem at that intersection. It is rumoured however, that it is because drivers avoid that intersection now.

    What cheeses me off

I agree. It seems to me that often, the ones that run late seem to have a chronic lateness condition. They couldn't care less about their fellow workers or travellers. Even more irritating is when you chip them about it, their response can be for us to "chill".

    What cheeses me off

Not only in this country. When I travelled to UK last year drivers there had become noticeably worse than they were in 2019 also. Maybe it was a pandemic that caused this?????? 😉

Isn't it disappointing how digital photos do not seem to get the true colour and intensity of colour that film used to be able to achieve.

    The view from my "office"

We lost my elderly father when we visited Avebury in 2003. We backtracked our steps, couldn't find him. Headed to this pub and here he was having a great time with all. My Dad never did get a mobile phone so we couldn't just phone him.

    Lost all trust in Qantas

Qantas are requesting customers to be respectful to its staff, but when is Qantas going to conduct itself in the same way to its customers.
