    REX and Eithad announces interline

Rex flights are now appearing as an option on the Etihad website, although in all the scenarios I looked at, the VA connections were cheaper.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

A few tidbits from an article about the Gold Coast cuts in the ABC today: Once a week is "right sizing" the Gold Coast to Melbourne route? Surely not... Reading some posts on the 'Scum of the Air' Facebook page mentioned above, it seems some people who are affected by the days of operation...

    Bonza Airline Discussion

In a statement provided to Australian Aviation, Bonza seem to be pinning these changes on reacting to market demand rather than their lack of aircraft. Source: Bonza pares back Gold Coast services after 5 months

Frequency cuts for the Gold Coast base have now been extended through the whole bookable schedule until the end of October. Days of operation changing across a number of routes too.

I'd wager it's the latter point because Nauru's passenger aircraft aren't really doing anything extra outside of their regular scheduled service.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Flights are re-appearing on the app for the Gold Coast routes in May and June, but in most cases they're completely changing the operational days (and flight times) to accomodate lower frequencies with just once based aircraft. That's going to burn a few bridges with the punters. It's still...

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Looks like something is up. The app is now showing the following frequencies for flights to/from Gold Coast for all of May and June: • Three times per week: Townsville • Twice per week: Rockhampton, Albury • Once per week: Cairns, Proserpine, Darwin, Launceston, Avalon, Tullamarine, Mildura •...

    Bonza Airline Discussion

A few of the Gold Coast routes are showing no, or very few, flights available for sale over the next 2 weeks. Namely OOL-CNS/TSV/MKY/MEL/AVV. Have also read a few stories of Bonza cancelling flights ex-OOL and offering a bus to Maroochydore and flight from there as an alternative.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

They had quite a few cancelled flights over the Easter weekend (mainly ex-OOL) because of aircraft unavailability. A number of flights were removed from sale but still operated on the Nauru 737-300, suggesting they at least reached the seat capacity of the -300 on those flights.

    Bonza Airline Discussion

More cancellations ex-OOL over the next couple of days. Nauru doesn't appear to be operating and some flights using the spare Bonza aircraft have also been cancelled. Crewing issues maybe? Also some lengthy delays ex-MCY today after an aircraft got stuck in CNS overnight. MCY-TSV delayed 10...

    First Qantas A220 revealed

Also recently tried out the A220 from Melbourne to Brisbane and it was a pretty decent experience. A few thoughts (similar to what others have posted): Aisles are nice and wide, people could easily squeeze past the trolley Wifi was slow and glitchy Louder than I had expected Felt the...

Some eye watering delays too. The 0630 OOL-TSV is delayed until 2200, and the 0830 TSV-MCY until 0040. And the inaugural MCY-LST today was about 2 hours late. That Flair aircraft sitting in MCY would be really useful right now.

Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

I'd say the legroom is a bit better in the normal row 3 because of the shape of the divider, gives you a bit more room for your feet. The leases expired and they had a bunch of new 800s arriving at the time.

Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

I've sat in 1A on those aircraft and it wasn't my favourite. There is decent legroom but the bulkhead gets in the way and stops you from really stretching your legs. Personally for a 5 hour flight, I'd avoid the bulkhead and go for Rows 2-4 or even the exit row.
