Right international premium economy these days is pretty much what business used to be 20 years ago before British Airways pioneered the lie flat seat. In fact on some airlines like American the international PE seat is the same as their domestic business seat (they call it ‘first class’).

As a lifetime gold (not that the lifetime part matters much) if I have booked a paid PE international flight and I put in a points request to upgrade to J, does the bot consider the higher fare class that it starts with? Or would a platinum requesting from economy still get precedence?

It was... made sure I accepted the DSC offer on the app and then used the flight credit within the promotion timeframe for a flight in April (which is within the eligible period)

If you use a flight credit which retains the original PNR, then using that credit during the double status credit window won't give you double status credits?

I’m in the Sydney First Class lounge right now about to head to LA and noticed the same. Only coughtails they’ll make are mimosas and Bloody Mary’s… terrible

Thanks for the information folks. You're absolutely right, the fares have gone up dramatically sinced I booked last October which is a component of why it's so bad, the same itinerary I paid $1500 for is now $2700. And in addition there's multiple airlines on the ticket, and that confuses...

I didn't have any emails from them, just logged in and noticed a line in my activity history that said "Status review - see Account Details" and when I scrolled up, I was Gold! I only have a return domestic ticket and a return international booked, all in Economy so not enough to have covered...

I just had my Silver status upgraded to Gold... even though I was 400 points away from qualifying and my review date is in September. I now have a new review date of February next year. Interesting... wonder why they did that?
