Negative Flashware, dear Gwen was only too keen to offer me the free upgrade when I mentioned that I would be cancelling my Gold card if they were not able to accomodate my Platinum request. Will still cost me $119 annual fee though!

Just rang Citibank, happened to get the (in)famous Gwen, who readily agreed to upgrading my Gold card to Platinum Rewards for free. However my $119.00 annual fee will still apply. Cheers, Barnaby
