    Lounge Access Help Desk

We are flying to NAN (Fiji) in a week. Our flight from MEL is booked on QF paper. As we are both lifetime GOLD members with Qantas we usually gain admittance to the QF Business Lounge before a 23.30 departure. Is the lounge open then? If not, are other options available?

We are travelling to NAN in a week.

I thought as much. Another example of Gold or Platinum status with QF not being worth anything. I was Platinum for over a decade and was one of their best flyers since 1987. I retire and no credit given -- I'm now reduced to Gold.

If you had a day to spend with AJ to fix QF what would you say ?

I'd sit with Alan and try to explain to him just what it means to be a QFF of over 30 years. Over the years I've...

    I need some help please

Thanks for all of that. Does anyone know when TAA, Qantas, Ansett set up their FF offerings? I know QF had such before 1987 when they set up Qantas Club

    I need some help please

I'm currently putting together a book for my family. Title: You Should Have Been here Yesterday In putting together my flying experience I'm trying to get my head around when certain major travel events occurred. I joined the Ansett Golden Wing Club early on, but I seem to recall that it...

    Qantas Club

Don't forget the old Golden Wing. I think in the early days it was just a fee only club, with Frequent Flyer miles having yet to be invented.

    Qantas Club

Many thanks. I joined in May 1987 and my problem, which was the reason for our discussion at dinner, was that I'd accumulated millions of miles of travel BEFORE the introduction of Tier Credits. While I now have 45000 tier credits I have reverted to Lifetime Gold after 20 years as Platinum. LG...

    Qantas Club

A discussion point the other night at dinner. The Qantas Club started operation in May 1987. At what point did it commence as a Frequent Flyer organisation (I think it was straight away) and when was the concept of status credits introduced?
