Hotel loyalty credit card in Australia

The United States boasts several hotel loyalty credit cards with compelling incentives. Considering Australia's enthusiasm for airline points, I’m curious why hotel loyalty programs have not gained traction in this market. While Accor has collaborated with NAB, the partnership is not optimal...

    REX and Eithad announces interline

I really hope VA remain as partners - booked Etihad business and want to collect VA status credits and points. I wonder how long they will give customers if they decide to end their partnership.

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic award seats?

I have tried all dates and location options Sydney to Europe return in September. No for all. About 18 flights sent, some with multiple dates from September well into October. There is so little award availability with Qantas and they just keep promoting the FF program.

Wondering if someone can help me. I made a request for seats to be released. I can see the booking in my profile. How do I know if they are approved? Thanks in advance.

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

I thought these lounges closed at 4pm, I must have been on a different site. Looks like they close around 9pm. Thanks for the link.

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

Flying Business return with VA in the next week. I was looking at lounges in Haneda. Given VA don’t give lounge access for business or elite guests, I was looking at Priority Pass, but it appears there are no PP lounges nor Amex lounges, they are only at Narita Airport. Does anyone know of any...

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

Quick google search shows that airlines can avoid compensation for weather events outside of their control. You might be right. outside of the airline's control (such as bad weather), airlines will usually try to help you get to your destination, but they won't be responsible for paying any...

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

It appears VA78 is cancelled from HND to SYD - 3rd July. VA77 from CNS to HND is also cancelled tomorrow - 4th July. I wonder if it is aircraft issues or limited passenger numbers. I assume they will be accommodated on ANA.

    Virgin Australia B737 Max 8

It seems odd that they aren't installing the divider, the business cabin doesn't feel private. Has IJQ and IWQ been installed yet, or still missing the divider?

    Amex complimentary flight

I downgraded from the Velocity Platinum Amex to the Escape. The comp flight is difficult to find availability, plus the comp booking system is always down. In addition, you have to book restricted sectors based upon where you live. The comp flight doesn’t earn sectors or status, punish. I would...

Changes to how you use your $450 Travel Credit

I had the same issue as VPS. I had to submit a AFCA complaint to get my credit, I ticketed the box and it didn't apply. I was told to wait 30days by Amex, nothing. They said I didn't ticket the box to apply the credit. I know I did. I took a screen shot. Amex was a nightmare to deal with.

Virgin Australia "Milestone Announcement" June 1, 2023

I have to agree, this promotion give nothing to loyal members. It's extremely uneventful and lacks real imagination. It has been done by companies before and their systems always fail due to customer demand. There was no real research completed by Velocity. The marketing team seemed to have...

Virgin Australia "Milestone Announcement" June 1, 2023

Mattg said, ’Velocity Frequent Flyer is rebranding with a new logo and new slogan, “Velocity Means Fast”. He also said, they are "They’re also celebrating that they now have 11.5 million Velocity members, which is 500,000 more than six months ago" - So i assume the milestone announcement...
