CHN, HKG and TPE are absolutely fine with the digital card, they may not be as forgiving about the companion though. IME getting the card recognised for priority processing in the US has not been an issue at major airports. Certainly in NYC the border staff are well versed in acknowledging them.

OK, was finally approved for renewal today! On that note, given I have both a physical and digital card with an expiry of 29AUG24, I assume I can continue to use this until such time as the new "card" has received all of its approvals?

Has anyone experienced excruciatingly slow processing of ABTC renewals recently? Mine was submitted on 01FEB24 and has still not even been touched as of today. My current ABTC expires AUG24. Last time I applied for ABTC it was approved within about two weeks!

I actually meant that QF's forward bookings to HKG are terrible (read: low), especially ex-MEL, and that therefore there should have been good chances, but I guess it depends on dates. You can transit through China (sub 24hrs) without a visa, and then there's also the 72 and 144 Hour transit...

Not sure how "north" you need to go, but try QF129 or any of the HKG services. Forward loads outbound are terrible...

Have you looked at other, indirect options? QF16 via BNE and QF96 via MEL both have wide open inventory and may just get you what you're after...

Not true. The P1 gift has appeared in AusPost accounts as a Qantas Wine delivery the last couple of times.

I'm LTG and about halfway to LTP, which if I keep travelling at this same rate for the next 8 or so years (I'm only just 34) I should easily reach.

QF9 MEL-PER is notoriously hard to get, even as a P1. The droid assesses against a range of factors, including the number of passengers already booked in U class on that flight.
