I called Qantas following this reschedule and they rebooked my wife on direct Sydney - Singapore QF1 in F (instead of via Melbourne as originally booked). Very happy with that outcome!

My wife is on ek405 in F originally scheduled for 6pm on 22 April, now at 2am on 23 April. The thought of flying out at 2am doesn’t sound very appealing so will call to see if there is another option.

Both are good options. But I would pick the a380 (particularly the refurbished / newer ones) over the 777. A380 is quieter and I find tends to handle turbulence better being a bigger plane. The 777 would still be a good experience though.

I certainly hope this isn’t the start of changing ltg from 14000 sc. I agree the ltp is meaningless for most people, and I am not surprised by it. But I would be far more disappointed if they increased their ltg targets!

I will have the pleasure of sitting here in a couple of days. I think the ek lounge opens at 430pm. Might also try the pp lounge as well if I get time.

Hahaha, I have flown mh business (short haul, mostly kul-sin) a few times and this was the first time satay sticks have been offered. I was stuffed from the lounge visits but couldn’t say no.

The mh610 crew have landed in kl. But we are too early and have to wait 15 minutes for a gate. One highlight - satay sticks!
