AA not accepting USD payment on Aussie credit card over the phone-->CC fees

Thanks NM. When you've made the payments were the AA agents aware that you were using an Aussie card? eg by looking at your address/phone details in your AAdvantage account? They knew I live in Australia (told me so) and said they couldn't process my CC and to call the Aus. AA number to pay.

AA not accepting USD payment on Aussie credit card over the phone-->CC fees

Always rang the AA number in US for my bookings and got from them the USD amount for taxes when they directed me to the Aus AA to make the payment.

AA not accepting USD payment on Aussie credit card over the phone-->CC fees

Bought some AA miles and paid online with 28deg m/c no problems. However recently when I tried to pay for an award flight fees (tax, booking etc) the AA agent (US) said I live in Australia and they can't process my CC and to call the Aus. AA number to pay. Called the Aus #, they took my CC...

    AA: No J-class cabin question

Not sure what's a valid award? Region-wise, it's basically South Pacific to South America Region 2 with no other intervening regions, and no stopovers. The last leg was priced at 10,000 miles, SCL-GRU on Y. So the complete one way travel SYD-AKL-SCL on J then SCL-GRU on Y. Should be a valid...

    AA: No J-class cabin question

Just to clarify, the 2nd leg is AA (OW on TAM) and SCL not a stopover. Region-wise, it's basically South Pacific to South America Region 2. So hopefully you're right about the F class. I'll call AA to confirm. Thanks.

    AA: No J-class cabin question

Hi, I have booked an award (on hold) with AA miles from SYD-SCL-xx_. First leg J class on LAN and the latter Y class on TAM. AA priced this at 60,000 miles. 50,000 miles for the SYD-SCL on J and 10,000 for the SCL-xx_ on Y class. I was told because there was no J cabin operated on the SCL-xx_...

Yeah, I ended up ringing Citi and got confirmation that I'm covered for TI with the points I had transferred. Thanks everyone!

CC travel insurance + use different CC overseas?

Thanks. Per my reply to magtron, I didn't purchase the tickets with my CC. It's a QFF award booking where I transferred the requisite points from Citi Rewards to my QFF account.

CC travel insurance + use different CC overseas?

Thanks. I didn't purchase the tickets with my CC. It's a QFF award booking where I transferred the requisite points from Citi Rewards to my QFF account. Same principle I suppose with Zurich?

CC travel insurance + use different CC overseas?

Hi, just realised my original post was in the wrong place so re-posting here .... I'm taking advantage of my Citi (CBG) complimentary travel insurance for forthcoming overseas awards travel. However I'm planning on using my 28 deg CC to book accom, internal flights in Europe and the US and hire...

CC travel insurance + use different CC overseas?

I'm taking advantage of my Citi (CBG) complimentary travel insurance for forthcoming overseas awards travel. However I'm planning on using my 28 deg CC to book accom, internal flights in Europe and the US and hire cars. Just wondering if using a different CC would somehow invalidate the CBG...

    CitiBusiness Gold Travel Insurance

It’s been a while since I last redeemed QFF points for flights. I moved a block of points from CBG to QFF a couple of months ago and was wondering if I would get the complimentary travel insurance if I redeemed QFF points for flights? Thanks.

    J-class RTW on OW awards

Thanks for your detailed response. I like your strategy of booking on Y, with a possible upside on changing to J and if that doesn't eventuate, to cancel and buy a ticket. I might just do that. Here's hoping for more release of J seats. Cheers.

    J-class RTW on OW awards

Interesting. Would be great if F in the US translates to J on OW awards! Could someone throw some light on that?

    J-class RTW on OW awards

Thanks. A bit tricky for me to book F-seats on a leg of my RTW on awards as the rules as I understand it, mean that my whole RTW itinerary would be based on F-class and I don't have enough points for that!

    J-class RTW on OW awards

Hi, I’m looking to burn QFF points for J-class RTW using OW. So far I’ve managed to find J-class flights for the first part of the trip from Oz to Europe then to the US east coast (JFK) using the Qantas awards booking system. It was all looking rosy until I started checking J availability in...
