Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

This is exactly it for us as well. Given the restrictions the Italian government has now put in place re northern Italy and museums, archeological sites etc in the rest of the country we’ve re-jigged our trip to avoid Italy all together and are now flying SQ into LHR instead of FCO next...

Always buy TI as soon as you’ve booked the flights, yes. We bought ours in May last year, as soon as I got the tickets, for our trip beginning 16 March this year.

If they’re based in NSW, which they appear to be, you should be able to call them as it’s not a public holiday there tomorrow (Vic, ACT, SA and Tas yes but NSW it’s a standard work day)

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

I know that Insure and Go will cover cancellation costs only if the smart traveller warning for the relevant country goes to level 4 (Do Not Travel) for policies already purchased. but I don’t believe that they are offering that on new policies?

Singapore Airlines - are they hiding cancellation information?

New cancellation info up on Twitter & their website, but not Facebook yet that I could see. somehow we managed to luck out and our SIN-FCO flight on 18 March is the only direct one that week still flying. Load much higher now than it was a couple of days ago though, unsurprisingly.

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

oh I agree. The media is absolutely feeding the panic and fear with its constant updates etc. for the vast majority of people this will be a bad cold. Yes it has a slightly higher mortality rate than the flu, but that (at the moment) seems to predominantly be in vulnerable groups. As I mentioned...

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Indeed it is. We’re not planning on cancelling unless forced to, so are keeping a very close eye on things and making risk assessments based on this information.

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Spot on. This is why we’ve changed our itinerary for Italy (leaving 16 March) from including Venice and Como, and are instead going g from Riomaggiore to Monaco and Nice. Not too concerned about catching the virus (proper hygiene will mostly mitigate that), but worried about exclusion periods...

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

We’re in pretty much the same situation, land in Rome 16 March and work our way north to Venice (via Florence and riomaggiore) by 29th March, then on to Geneva on 3 April. Have contingencies in place if we can’t get to Venice and aren’t changing anything right now, but as it’s an evolving...

Travel in 4 weeks SYD-SIN-FCO and return late April LHR-SIN-SYD both with a day in Singapore before the connection, so am also watching very closely, especially as to what EU/ Italy may do with banning flights. We do have Vog/ Cambridge Mask co masks if needed.

Special meals in suites (LHR - SYD), any experience/ thoughts?

Hi all, my hubby and I are planning to use our KrisFlyer points to fly suites LHR-SYD April next year. Unfortunately I’ve special dietary requirements (low fat due to bad gallbladder), and thus need to book a special meal. I’ve had no problem in economy in the past, but just wondering what...
