    Further Reduction to Centurion benefits.

Yes, it's pretty awful isn't it. No comms regarding any sort of replacement benefit either. Cent now doesn't even get the Platinum benefit of free Amazon Prime, neglible though the value of that is!

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I flew F MEL to SIN on Monday this week en route to LHR and the service on board was very rushed. They kept refilling drinks super fast and would ask me about how many extra bottles of Krug I wanted them to chill. Not a bad thing of course, but it made me second guess whether I'd been blind...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Does anyone know if SQ have frequency / visit capping at TPR? I've got a flight from MEL to LHR that involves a 12 hour layover, normally I wouldn't even consider something like that but I'm wondering whether staying in the airside hotel, and dropping in to TPR whenever I get peckish forr 3-4...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

So I had my call with Centurion the other day. Apparently they have been "refreshing" the card in the last few months and while this refresh was happening, they declined applications but are now able to miraculously offer me a Centurion. $5k joining and $6.5k annual fee and informed neither...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Sure no worries. My business is in adtech and we pay a bill to one of the big Silicon Valley ad platforms of $300-400k each month. All on a business Platinum card. There's probably another 50-70k per month in other business expenses paid on the card, but that's the big one.

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

I was knocked back for a Centurion application earlier this year. Then today, I had an email from "Centurion By Invitation" asking if I'd like "discuss the benefits and experiences included in this exclusive invitation" ... The only thing I can think of is that with a largeish...

Naive question as I never really paid attention to loadings before, but how would the above passenger loading compare to the same aircraft/route pre-pandemic?

F booking downgraded to J after change from 777 to A350

Argh, same here for a trip I'd booked my parents on, LHR-SIN-MEL in November. The LHR-SIN leg has been downgraded to J. Admittedly, the downgraded leg is the overnight portion (SQ321 which leaves Heathrow at 10:05pm), and as long as the F booking remains for SIN-MEL they'll be able to access...

KrisFlyer redemption rates increasing [from 5/7/22]

Are we sure the deadline is midnight tonight? Or will it be tomorrow mid morning Australia time, when Singapore opens for business on July 5?

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I'd love to share some annoyingly minor observations about the new SIN Private Room shower suites: - The super technical Japanese-style toilet will open and close its lid seemingly at random, like an angry dustbin - Drainage in the shower is a bit slower than one would like, despite a generous...

    F/J Family booking options/combos

One thing I'm struggling with on this is, if we assume two adults and one child (like OP, I have a three year old), what's the best seating config in SQ J? Do you pop the kid and a parent in the middle two seats (so the parent sat next to them can't reach them over the divider between the two...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Hiya, I have a question that I hope someone here will be able to answer. I am flying SQ F from MEL-SIN next week, and a colleague is on the same flight travelling in Y. I have Krisflyer Gold, he doesn't. Am I allowed to have him in the First lounge as a guest? And if so, do I have to book...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Question regarding First Class lounges SQ while TPR is out of action. Mum and Dad are flying SIN-MEL this evening in F. Does anyone know what lounges F pax have access to, if any?

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Thanks, that's a good suggestion. Checking today, website still gives the error, but the SQ Android app shows full availability and it looks like it's bookable. I'll see how far it lets me proceed through the process (app was always terrible, but it looks like they might have made some progress...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Does anyone know what's the go with Star Alliance partner awards bookings on the SQ site at the moment? I was looking at getting some flights for family members based in Spain. Previously, I was able to book AGP-SIN via IST, using SQ points and via the Singapore Airlines website. However...

So what movies are we watching to fill the air travel void?

So I'm sure I'm not alone in finding myself watching a few YouTube travel reviews from "the before times" while enjoying a glass of something late in the evening. It's nice to pretend that I'm snoozing away on a lie flat bed on the way to a different country! Aside from these travel report...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Just booked J to LHR for June 2021 to (hopefully) introduce my family back in England to young daughter who'll be just over 1 by then. With the current carnage with the call centre, is there any other way to request adding an infant to a redemption booking? I'm hoping they've implemented a...

Where would you be now ... ?

Right now I'd be driving the dog to the inlaws, then heading on SQ Suites for the first time, taking our three month old to LHR to meet the UK family for the first time. It was due to be a two week trip where I'd end up watching loads of Glastonbury festival on the BBC and catching up with...
