I updated my post above just before you responded. My partner is full fare paying and that flight didn't get cancelled for him. I think classic reward tickets are the lowest on their hierarchy and will be the first to get dumped.

So the QF128 HKG to SYD flight on 12/11 just got cancelled. Now I have to transit through Melbourne. My ticket was a classic reward and my partner was a full fare paying ticket and he kept his seat. I guess classic reward has no security in the flight allocation whatsoever.

Yes it's activated before I tried to add it to Apple Pay. Waited on the phone for 15 mins and they added it to all my devices. She said maybe it's because I changed my mobile in the last week. She also said they've been having lots of fraud lately.

So I just got my card but when I add to Apple Pay, it asks me to call the number to verify the card. I have never seen this with all other cards that I add to Apple Pay. There is always an option to verify by SMS.
