If your e-ticket shows a VA flight number for the VA sector, it should count. On many of my EY e-tickets, if I have a VA flight number for a VA sector, it does indeed count as an eligible sector for Velocity. Reverse is incorrect if it is a EY flight number for a VA sector.

Oman Air's Sindbad program is next to useless - I'd credit your return to Etihad Guest. You will not be able to transfer those miles to VA, but you will be able to redeem those miles for VA sectors. Once redeemed, you can then alter the FF to Virgin Australia to receive elite benefits.
