A shocking run for JQ43 over the last week. Not a single on time departure, with the shortest delay 100 mins on Dec 11, and consecutive delays of 10 hrs and 9 hrs on Dec 8 and 9. I flew out on 43 on time on Dec 3 and feel blessed!

I have no doubt most airlines would have charge similarly. My point is more the disparity between what they charge for points, and what they give you back for the same number of points.

Gotta love how Velocity values points. Called yesterday to request a points upgrade MEL>PER but I was 7000 points short. No problem, I can buy the points for $233. Opted not to and instead requested an Economy X seat. No problem, that'll be $59....or 7000 points.

Collected my mail today and the card is the right colour so all good. I notice it's my 20th anniversary year as a FF so maybe it's their gift to me :D

Well so far so good. 12 days into nre membership year and still Platinum. My new membership card has been sent out but I'm o/s at the moment so will find out for sure next week but it's looking OK.

Hmmm maybe they should take a look at their systems and stop the congrats messages going out.....

Oh that sucks. I'm flying overseas on Tuesday so hopefully nothing gets reset before then and I can use the First lounge. At least I've been able to get Platinum seat selection. After that I don't really care, LTG will be fine.
