    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Yes, given I had issues logging into Chase and AmEx with my previous lines, I'm ok with paying a bit more to have a reliable line

For people interested in having a cheap postpaid number, Boost Infinite is offering a postpaid service for $25/mo. They do a soft credit check and accept ITIN as well. I've been using this for a couple months now and I can get all verification and 2FA texts from banks.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

In my experience, when they tell you "it's still under review", it's a waiting game, might take up to 2 weeks for their back office to review your application. Wait a few days and if you don't receive an approval email, give them a call to follow up

    damn, Cap1 is very weird

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Isn't there a Cap1 rule that you can't hold more than 1 card of the same family? You either get Venture X or Venture unless it's a product change? I think I read it somewhere, I might be mistaken though

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I've got a HSBC US account which I opened through my AU premier relationship with them, that's been working well for me so far with no issues. I may open a new account once I'm in the US on a trip or something someday.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I think the main issue is being a non-resident alien when opening a US bank account online and the tax implications. That's why I believe most if not all banks would require you to fill out another form which would be done in a branch. Unless you're a US resident in which case you should be...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Yep, I figured, not sure why cause I put a lot of spend on my AmEx cards, might be the velocity of applications or something

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I've tried a few links but it said that I'm not eligible to receive that offer, never had the personal gold or platinum, put a lot of spends on my cards too. I think there's limitations for eligibility. Last cards I got from AmEx was a business platinum, gold and hilton in about a 2 months span...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

That's about right. 2 cards per 90 days as far as I know. This does not include charge cards, so you can apply for 2 credit cards and as many charge cards you want in a 90 days period. Depending on your reported income, credit score and balances on your current AmEx cards of course.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I don't think you can transfer AU MR points to Hilton through your US Amex directly if that's what you mean. If this is your first US card, I'd also suggest to apply for a no annual fee card or for a card with a downgrade path to a no annual fee card cause this will be likely your oldest card so...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

AFAIK, I don't think you can use a referral link through GT. After you have your FICO score generated, you should be able to use referral links to apply for a card (I think you probably need an ITIN or SSN as well then)

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

IIRC, I think you can still apply without an ITIN/SSN using NovaCredit which works for Australia without a prior relationship with AmEx. https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/features-benefits/us-newcomers/ It's just a bit harder to get approved for than using your relationship with AmEx.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Yeah C1 is very stingy with their approvals, and according to their website you'd need "Excellent" credit which means at least 3 years of history with multiple trade lines to get their venture cards. You can certainly try, but use their pre-approval tool first, if you don't see any venture cards...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

I got it for my LLC and been using it for other mail as well, and I usually wait for a couple cards to arrive to request for a shipment. I don't use their mail forwarding service, a few pieces of mail are included yearly with their LLC and registered agent service that I use and it costs extra...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Thanks! I used an LLC formation company called WyomingLLCAttorneys with a mail forwarding service for the cards. Provided a copy of my EIN letter from IRS, a bank statement from HSBC and also my ITIN letter for both applications 1675214267 Also I have a postpaid service with AT&T so been able...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

AmEx also has a history for you FICO score from the time it gets shown on your profile but anything prior to that you gotta check somewhere else. Online applications with Citi would still require ITIN/SSN, I believe you need to physically go into a branch to open a bank account and/or a credit...

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

You might need to wait for a couple months after you get your first Fico on AmEx. Fico score usually takes at least 6 months (if not more) to generate.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

If you got the AmEx US app on your phone, you should be able to see your Fico score history under your "Fico Score" tab under "Financial Tools" bottom of the app on your "Account" For a business card, my impression is it's perhaps a little easier convincing banks that you have a real business...
