AMEX Live Chat has told me the email communications for The Australian benefit are being sent tomorrow.

Is it possible to upgrade (product change) from a lower-tier American Express card (say a Platinum Edge or Explorer) to the Platinum card? I understand the MR programs have different tiers, but more of a curiosity if anyone has tried and succeeded? Cheers

Before releasing a new card, it would be nice for AMEX to do a evaluation of the benefits of their current credit card line up (ones that are not the Platinum Charge card).

I have heard of Amex US doing this, and doing it every so often for those cardholders. Never heard it from the AMEX AU side of the fence.

Curious to see if anyone with any of the airline branded cards (QF / VA) have received any offers of such.

On average, how long has it taken people to receive the 60k bonus points? I've just hit the spend requirement. Westpac's site says up 12 weeks - but am curious to see if anyone's received it earlier than this.

I've got an iPhone. My AMEX does the exact same thing, reports on all transactions through Apple Wallet. My ANZ cards + Macquarie don't do this - only reports on ones used with Apple Pay.

Also agree. Mine is instant on both my ANZ QFF & ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures. Only advantage with Macquarie is you get a push notification to your mobile device for each transaction made. ANZ don't do this with their app.

It comes after you make the required spend. After you submit your VA number through the email, took about 3-4 days for me to receive the bonus points.

Always had no complaints with DT Melbourne. Great hotel, great staff.

(I don't have this card but from applying for CC experience), I'd assume that, like most financial institutions you would need to provide payslips to verify income. It is also stated on the card's website. "Two recent pay slips for income verification".

Got the AVIS and KitchenWarehouse ones, but no DJ's on my QF Discovery AMEX (can't also find the manual link). I think the DJ's may be because I still have the 'David Jones Welcome Offer' from when I first got the card. I also got the AmazonPrime credit as well. Get 50% credit, up to $30 back.
